First year and a reason to cherish.

Again a long gap for a couple of months. This semester is really taxing and it practically didn't give me much time. No, not even to pursue my passion. And now a reason to celebrate. 365 days over. Its been a year since Freezing Eternity was born (31st May). It feels like only yesterday I was planning to start a blog. This year has been a great one for me especially in this virtual world. Blogs, posts, comments, contests, friends, updates, tweets and others. And I really feel so happy for being here and writing what I think.

This blog was not started last year in contradiction to what my first post tells. On the contrary, it was two and a half years back. One of my best buddies, Vignesh Natarajan, who blogs here, introduced me to the world of blogs. I always loved reading his blog and various other blogs he followed. It was at that time I thought to blog though I had lacked several criteria for blogging. But the zeal of expressing what I think made me stick on to it. And thus it started, December 2010. I had put a couple of really bad posts and later I took my blog down. It was during my last vacation that blogging occupied my mind and here I am. With more than forty number of posts, though very less in number compared to an active blogger, I took to blogging. I loved it, admired it and got inspired by my fellow mates.

There is IndiBlogger, BlogAdda, Blog-a-Ton giving me various reasons to post and constantly encouraging it. And then came the Chennai Bloggers Club. I loved the club so much and we are active there interacting, have several threads discussing about topics at length, getting advice, celebrating days, meetings and of course, writing posts.

The day I started writing was a disastrous one. An old man died near my home the previous night and there was his funeral proceeding that day afternoon. There were fireworks displayed, crackers blasted, and whistles blown. And the hut beside my home was set ablaze in fire. It quickly spread to the nearby trees and there was some real damage. There were additional blasts inside the burning home; exacerbating the effect and the fire engine came near the climax.

I was staring at the house bewildered. Before gaining my senses back, I got the worst news. My uncle died in the hospital following a sudden cardiac arrest. His demise came in as a sudden shock leaving us in despair. Things got over the next day and the entire family was in grief agony.

The day could never go worse anymore. I had published my first post the next day, which was ready two days before. And here is the next year. Every time my blog celebrates its blogoversary, these events will keep ringing in my head. I pray for my uncle. May his soul rest in peace.

And then there are many more whom I would like to thank. Shreeraman, Sathish, Divya, Janani, Guru Ramprakash, Rajkiran, Hariharan, Madhu, Shruthi, Sai, my CBC admin Susan, other CBC people Sowmya, Ashwini, Akash, Sivaranjini, and of course Vignesh for motivating me. Thanks to these and others who have constantly been patient to read my silly posts and comments. There are many others whom I didn't mention here yet have been my wonderful readers. I also thank my sister Haripriya and parents for reading every single post and criticizing it.

This blog, I visit here every day, reading my posts, laughing at my bad mistakes, smiling at comments from friends, checking for the page views, thinking about a new post and just passing my time staring at this same page you are here. This blog has been my good companion giving me reasons to cherish about my very own world. My sincere thanks to my readers and friends. I really wish to be regular here this year. Happy Birthday in advance Freezing Eternity.

I kept my word!

Suddenly she saw him everywhere...

"I will haunt you forever," he used to tell her always sarcastically to look at her reaction and would laugh.

25 April, 2012. The next day was her wedding. Her parents had arranged the three day wedding function in a grandiose manner with the whole town astonishing at its sumptuous way. However the center of attraction was the bride. She looked radiant and ravishing in her engagement dress which was offered by the bridegroom's side. Everyone out there was expecting the next day. Two people, who were distant in their hearts, were going to blend into a single lovable life. Was it going to be adorable?

She again spotted him laughing, “Why are you sad? After all, you are the bride!" He seemed a little sarcastic. She was on the verge of bursting out. Tiny bubbles peeked out from her eyes and she urged to control it. He again mumbled, "I kept my word." She asked him, “What did you tell?" He ran away. She couldn't spot him for a while.

She went to her room flooding with his memories. She was exhausted and was hyperventilating. This left her rattled and even a little peevish. She watched the happy face of her kith and kin from the portico of the first floor. She also watched his face and his eccentric reaction. It was raining cats and dogs outside. The lightening and the thunder petrified the little kids. Suddenly there was a huge crowd calling her name. She could hear them but couldn't respond. She had fainted hitting the ground floor before people came to catch her. Everyone went dazzled for a moment. It all happened so quickly. Ambulance arrived and she was taken to the hospital. Doctors couldn't do anything. It was a massive heart attack which caused her death. Every one of them was devastated. Everyone returned to the places and in a short time, the wedding function turned out into a death one.

Two days after the remorseful happening, her mother went to her room and she switched on her daughter's laptop. She browsed her drives to check what could have caused her to be pressurized? Indeed there was a document named "Rahish." Her mother knew that he was her daughter's bestest friend.

February 2, 2004:

Saw this guy named Rahish.
What a talkative one?!
Chatterbox.

June 15, 2004

Talked to Rahish for the first time.
He is a chatterbox. I find him fascinating.Time ran fast today with him. Became his friend in FB.

October 28,2005

He sent me a "Hi" today to my mobile.
I got his number from his friend a long time ago but I didn't text him. Ego.
Waited for his text! And he did today.
He is so much energetic and exuberant.
Msgd him for a long time.

January 18, 2006

Today is my birthday. He came to my home early morning to wish me.
I loved his gift. An earring. A simple yet an amative present for me!
Spent only a small time with him. It was my fault.
I was waiting for him to become close with me. Now he is.
But I am keeping distance from him.

March 25, 2006

Today is his birthday.
He sent a text to me requesting me to accompany him for morning train.
I purposely caught the next train to his. I loved it whenever he got angry.
I loved it.
But I couldn't avoid him today as it is his birthday. He became so close to me.
In other words, I became so close to him.

May 17, 2007

We were chatting for the entire day. The whole day.
He said today "I won't marry anyone else other than you!"
I replied, “I won't marry you! A prince is waiting for me!"
He told me, “Okay! I too will marry a princess and not you!"
We mocked at each other enjoying the envious look on our faces.

September 25, 2009

Two years ran so fast after our college.
He always tells me that he likes me a lot.
I am not sure if he is so much in love with me to accept me.
I am not so brave.
We will be so good friends always.

April 5, 2010

He isn't opening his mouth. Neither me! Oh Goddamn it!
I couldn't resist. I am not brave. I like him a lot.
It would be so ideal if we live together. But I am so much frightened.

December 22, 2010

Now-a-days, He started telling this often.
"I won't marry anyone else other than you!" But then he used to tell this.
"I told that just for fun! You must like me na!"
"I will come for your wedding!"
I am so much frightened.

July 12, 2010

"Do you have anything to tell me?" I asked.
"I like you a lot! Nothing else. I will haunt you forever."
Silence.

August 19, 2010

He died today. Yeah it was an appalling accident.
Death has taken Rahish from me!
I don't know what I will do without him?
I am heart-broken! Save me!

November 8, 2010

I didn't talk to anyone for the past two months.
I am broken beyond repair. I loved him a lot.
Did he too? He did!!! I have his mobile now!
Saw a msg in his drafts which was intended to be sent to me.

""I love you a lot! I want to be with you! Can I?
Will you include me in your life? I am afraid.
I don't know what you have in your mind?""

I loved you idiot. You didn't tell me!

April 17, 2011

My parents are asking me about my marriage.
Everyone around me asked the same.
I am not ready to be the better half of some one else!
I don't want marriage!

September 30, 2011

My parents have fixed my marriage against my refusal.
Please, I don't want.
Rahish!
I cried. I cried a lot.

December 24, 2011

My engagement today. I hate it.
Shit!

March 8, 2012

He kept his word. He didn't marry anyone else.
But did I?

April 24, 2012

Day after tomorrow is my marriage!
Rahish why didn't you take me away with you?

Her mother cried. She cried a lot. When she intended to close the document, there popped a small box with a message "wait". Something was updating. She fainted after seeing the document. There was an additional note.

Is there a next time always?

This was the tenth time everybody pacified the Vineyard.

"There is a next time!" said the Sun.

"Don't worry. Every thing in this world has been created by God for a cause!" told the Sky.

"If something good doesn't happen now, it indicates that something better than this is gonna happen in future!" pacified the Earth.

"You deserve something better!" spoke the Wind.

"There is a next time, buddy!" said the Sun again.

"There is always a next time? Not for me!" sighed the Vineyard.

A Vineyard. A beautiful Vineyard. An excellent Vineyard in the country side. There were hundred such Vineyards.

This particular one was looking majestic with all the plump and fleshy grapevines hanging perfectly in the rows and columns. The Vineyard was expecting the cultivators and the business men to pick it and use it for wine production. The people came and started choosing the Vineyards best suited for wine production. Its eagerness, enthusiasm and tension increased to a higher level for it was the first time they were entering its place for checking. After discussing for a long time, they left the place. It became depressed. It all started from here.

The Vineyard lost its spirit and energy though it was motivated by its close ones. But it never seemed to get the spirit. It prayed to God with a little hope. It always had a little hope. It turned to face north. There wasn't a Vineyard unharvested. It turned in the direction of east. Nothing in that direction either. Similar results in the other two directions. It was full three months after the generation of first fruit. Nothing had happened yet. Not even a single industry selected it. The harvesting season was almost over and the cultivating season might begin anytime. It would be destroyed before that.

A sudden rumbling noise. It didn't look. There was a sudden rush of footsteps. A group of people approached the Vineyard with a tough fat guy leading them. He examined it and  nodded his head. the machines were brought into the field and works began. The Vineyard slowly looked at the fat guy. He was speaking over his cell phone.

"Sir, Yes! I am positive. This Vineyard has come out to our expectation."

(Some pause!)

"Yeah! This is gonna help us make the costliest wine in the world! We are giving it to the Catholic Church in the Vatican City."

The Vineyard stood in shock and happiness! It saw the sun, the sky, the earth, the wind  happily with tears welling its eyes!

"Well! There is always a next time!"

The Sun shouted, "Don't keep on telling that! Watch out, Vineyard!"

The wind kicked the Vineyard. The Vineyard opened its eyes and realized that the exulting events had happened in its mind and not in reality! This happened every time. It always visualized this excellent finishing in its life.

"What happened? Why did you kick me" asked the Vineyard yawning. The Wind wasn't friendly anymore. It turned into a grievous one.

There was really a rumbling noise this time. But it wasn't the same as in its dream or visualization. Something terrible started occurring.

All the channels flashed the news : "The Katrina Hurricane devastated the entire state! The people in the near by regions are moved to the safe places by the police officials!"

After a storm, comes the calm!

The yard (No more the Vineyard!) asked the sun,"Is there a next time always? Life isn't the same for everyone!"

IS THERE A NEXT TIME ALWAYS?
